Windows NT 4.0 printer troubleshooting.

Issue:

Windows NT 4.0 printer troubleshooting.

Cause:

A printer not working in Windows NT 4.0 can be caused by any of the below possibilities.

  1. Improper service pack installed.
  2. Proper software support for printer is not installed.

Solution:

For the printer to work properly in Windows NT verify that the latest Windows NT service pack is installed in the computer, the printer is listed on the Microsoft Hardware Compatibility List and that you are installing the printer using Windows NT 4.0 drivers (Windows 9x drivers will not work in Windows NT).
