How many partitions can DOS / Windows recognize.

Answer:

A PC computer running Microsoft DOS / Windows is capable of supporting up to 24 different drive letters or partitions, or A-Z with A and B being assigned to your floppy disk drives.

Note: When creating partitions using Microsoft Fdisk, the computer is only capable of having one primary partition per hard disk drive.
