Sometimes abbreviated as HT, Hyper-threading is a
technology developed by
Intel that
was first introduced on the
Xeon
processor
and later included on the Intel
Pentium
4 processor. HT enables a
computer
processor to work more efficiently by having the capability of
processing two sets of
instructions at the same time, making it look like two logical
processors. In addition,
software
that has been written for
dual
processor computers and/or multi processor computers are still
