LAPM

Short for Link Access Procedure for Modems, LAPM is an error control protocol defined in ITU-T recommendations V.42. Like the MNP protocols, LAPM uses cyclic redundancy checking (CRC) and retransmission of corrupted data (ARQ) to ensure data reliability.
