Mouse pointer

The mouse cursor, or mouse pointer, is often shaped like an arrow or a small hand with the index finger pointing towards the top of the display device. The mouse pointer moves as the user moves his or her mouse and is used as a reference point to where the mouse is located on the display screen. To the right is a simple graphic illustration of what the mouse cursor may look like.

  • Additional information about how to move the mouse cursor with your keyboard in Microsoft Windows can be found on document CH000542.
